This 32m x 18m x 6m open-front structure was purpose-built by CubeX for maximum access and efficiency. With two 16m girder trusses and a 6m cantilevered awning, the design delivers a wide, unobstructed frontage perfect for housing large agricultural machinery.
Project Overview
Covering 768m² under roof, the shed includes only one galvanised UB column in the centre. This minimal internal structure allows operators to drive straight in, park, and get to work without navigating obstacles. The open frontage also makes it easy to manoeuvre oversized equipment or swap out machinery quickly during busy seasons.
The Challenge
The client needed a layout that would maximise space while keeping equipment access fast and straightforward. The shed also had to withstand Queensland’s harsh conditions while remaining low maintenance.
Our Solution
We built the shed using premium Australian steel, engineered to Australian Steel Institute standards. The combination of girder trusses and cantilevered awning boosts usable space without complicating the design. As a result, the client benefits from both protection and operational efficiency.
The Outcome
This machinery shed Banana showcases how the right combination of components can unlock serious functionality. Strong, simple, and highly practical, it is built to handle the demands of modern farming while protecting valuable equipment for years to come.
