A showroom out front. Serious storage out back.
The Emerald site needed to do two jobs at once: put a professional retail face on the business, and give the operation the bulk storage capacity to back it up — without the two functions compromising each other.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
| LOCATION | Lot 2, Marathon St, Emerald QLD |
| SECTOR | Agricultural Supply / Industrial |
| BUILDINGS | No1. 1200m² – Showroom with DriveThru
No2. 1200m² Bulk Store |
| COMBINED FOOTPRINT | 2,400m² under roof |
The Challenge
Customer-facing space that feels considered and a warehouse that’s purely functional are usually in tension on the same site. The layout also had to work around a 6m clear separation between the two buildings, with vehicle and drive-through access designed in from the start rather than bolted on.
The Approach
CubeX split the brief into two purpose-built structures under one design and engineering package: a showroom/drive-through building with a partitioned retail bay, and a fully enclosed bulk storage shed. Both were engineered, Form 15 certified, and fabricated as hot-dipped galvanised structural steel in our Toowoomba workshop before being freighted to site.
HOW IT CAME TOGETHER
Design through to delivery.
| 1
Project Discovery Site visit and brief to understand how the showroom, drive-through and bulk storage each needed to function. |
2
Concepting & Budgeting Two-building concept developed and priced as separate stages for a clear budget on each structure. |
3
Planning & Engineering Full structural design, Form 15 engineering, and Trimble Connect model review ahead of fabrication sign-off. |
4
Manufacturing Steel procured, processed and fabricated at our Toowoomba workshop, hot-dip galvanised and packaged for freight. |
5
Construction Assistance Kit and sheeting delivered ex-Toowoomba, with installation support and site visits through to completion. |
