CubeX Group designed and built this 50m x 40m roof-only arena for serious equestrian performance. Featuring a 1400mm deep SHS web truss, the design achieves a massive 40m clear span. This delivers the coverage of a traditional UB rafter system at a fraction of the cost.
Project Overview
Located in Kingaroy, Queensland, this custom arena was designed specifically for equestrian use. The open layout gives horses and riders complete freedom of movement while staying protected from the elements. With its generous 2,000m² of under-roof space, the arena offers a premium training environment for all-weather riding.
The Challenge
The owner required a large-span structure that would allow uninterrupted movement for training and camp drafting. It also had to withstand Queensland’s changing weather while keeping the overall cost in check.
Our Solution
We used our unique “Roof-Lift” installation method, which makes large-span builds faster, safer, and more efficient. Constructed from premium Australian steel and built to Australian Steel Institute standards, the arena delivers long-term durability. As a result, the client benefits from a structure that is both cost-effective and high performing.
The Outcome
