CubeX Group designed and built this 18m x 28m arena with a mezzanine for Bar H Grazing’s Wagyu cattle operation. Built to withstand Queensland’s tough rural conditions, this purpose-built facility combines functionality, durability, and thoughtful design.
Project Overview
Located in Comet, Central Queensland, this custom structural steel shed was created to handle the demands of a busy cattle breeding and sales environment. The mezzanine level provides an elevated space for viewing and operations, while the open internal span ensures unobstructed movement during livestock sales.
The Challenge
Bar H Grazing needed a dedicated bull sale arena that could serve as both a sales venue and a practical working facility. It had to be durable enough to withstand regular livestock use, while also offering a professional, presentable environment for clients.
Our Solution
We worked closely with the client to design an arena tailored to their operation. The structure uses premium Australian steel, engineered for strength and longevity. As a result, the arena meets all relevant building standards, including those set by the Australian Steel Institute. The design incorporates excellent ventilation, robust walling and roofing, and a mezzanine level for improved visibility and flow during events.
The Outcome
The completed arena has already enhanced the efficiency and presentation of Bar H Grazing’s cattle sales. It provides a professional space that reflects the quality of their livestock, while withstanding the rigours of frequent agricultural use. Moreover, the design ensures the facility will remain functional and reliable for decades to come.
